Always had a soft spot for John Tavener myself.

Yes, I heard something of his down the Cathedral at Christmas, he's very popular with choirs and ecclesiastical ensembles, really good it was but he's not in the same Heavenly band as was George Friedrich; it's, anyway, a Baroque kind of place, down this end of the cyber avenue. Just play me out with those harpsichords and fiddles, those big curly trumpets and I'll die as happy as a pig in shit.

Never considered myself old enough for SMP, mr etb, really must pull myself together; altough I love that bit which Paul Simon lifted, it's further on up the road, on Sunday. I also find Handel's sacred music more uplifting and jangly than Bach's, a bit more Chuck Nerry.
