So, Farewell, then, Dark Lord.
Didn't fall on your own sword,
Didn't fall on your own sword,
You waited for the sack to drop.
And therefore off you pop.
Soaking the rich in public
is a spoon you'll no more lick.
is a spoon you'll no more lick.
Just another greedy prick.

Is this his third ministerial resignation? Surely a record? I guess "third time lucky".
I have read, mr mike, that the only PM who failed to sack him was Gordon Brown...
Was Toolmakersson Starmer not paying attention, or what? He's not a young man, he's lived through the Baron's previous disgraces, he was advised against the appointment, he must have realised that something slimy would bob up from the Mandelsonian past or that his fondness for rich men and money, unleashed in America, would not end well. Starmer was even expressing his whole-hearted support right up until he wasn't. Or maybe it wasn't naive gullibility - is there kompromat?
But such fun for Cooper, getting to sack the Prince of Darkness - how sooper.
They must be running out of self-serving weasels to appoint to positions of importance.
No shortage of self-serving weasels, mrs narcolept.
