WTC7, WTF? HOW DID WORLD TRADE CENTER 7 FALL?

It was a pristine travelling document falling from the sky, some agencies refered to it as a passport from the infidel, tipped it over...
I'll put on my tinfoil hat and ask: why Holy Trinity?

I won't bother with rehashing the facts, you can read the most of the rest here:

mr Ishmael watched it as per your instructions,I see that it has an actor structural expert,it's collapse looks dodgy, even so after watching the detonators series on tv,it still doesn't make me an expert, therefore I will leave that to the more knowledgable and carry on with my ignorance of the WTC .

I've refound some of the info I was thinking about under the previous post in relation to the occupants of WTC7:

[WTC 7] contained offices of the FBI, Department of Defense, IRS (which contained prodigious amounts of corporate tax fraud, including Enron’s), US Secret Service, Securities & Exchange Commission (with more stock fraud records), and Citibank’s Salomon Smith Barney, the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management and many other financial institutions. [Online Journal]

The SEC has not quantified the number of active cases in which substantial files were destroyed [by the collapse of WTC 7]. Reuters news service and the Los Angeles Times published reports estimating them at 3,000 to 4,000. They include the agency's major inquiry into the manner in which investment banks divvied up hot shares of initial public offerings during the high-tech boom. ..."Ongoing investigations at the New York SEC will be dramatically affected because so much of their work is paper-intensive," said Max Berger of New York's Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann. "This is a disaster for these cases." [New York Lawyer]

Citigroup says some information that the committee is seeking [about WorldCom] was destroyed in the Sept. 11 terror attack on the World Trade Center. Salomon had offices in 7 World Trade Center, one of the buildings that collapsed in the aftermath of the attack. The bank says that back-up tapes of corporate emails from September 1998 through December 2000 were stored at the building and destroyed in the attack. [TheStreet]

Inside [WTC 7 was] the US Secret Service's largest field office with more than 200 employees. ..."All the evidence that we stored at 7 World Trade, in all our cases, went down with the building," according to US Secret Service Special Agent David Curran. [TechTV]

Good stuff, dr kellyah, read that and a few of the links, hadn't heard any of it before. It's hard going, filled with links elsewhere but profitable, I'm sure, for the serious student of Discord and Ruin. I don't think I have enough years left to tease out the reality, the forces at play, but I have been convinced since the moment it happened that this was the heaviest shit of my lifetime and would define and direct, for the worse, future events in what we call the West.

I would like to say we must agree to disagree, mr hj, instead, though, I will find you another offering, you see, swallowing the nine-eleven affair means swallowing Iraq and Blair and Globalisation, Berlusconi and Murdoch, unbridled profiteering, the reversal of civilisation by this continents-wide shower of degenerate toiletcreepers; piling the wheelchairs up in the library and setting fire to it; this was an attack on Western civilisation, not from without, from within.

Yes, mr ptb, that was it, I'd forgotten, too, Enron, Dubya's mates, one of whom died and was instantly cremated and scattered, just before he was due to start a hefty jail sentence And much else potentially embarrassing, besides.

As a general thought mr Barnum most if not all companies have server services on site or off site with backups of important data, most if not all staff pc's are connected to servers with all data from them going to the folder with the person who has logged on,normally nothing is held on a staff pc or even allowed to use a the hard drive in most companies, the day of 9/11 I was working on a server in the UK in an office that the above rules applied, the company came under American UL rules and the new rules that came out after Enron, can't remember the name but it still applies,if any work was done by staff on a pc then surely they could have recovered and carried on eleswhere as that was the idea, have downtime kept to minimum.

PT Barnum said...

Indeed so, Mr HenryJ, but what is actually the case (the data was backed up elsewhere) and what is asserted to be the case (oops, they've done gone blown it all up) are not the same thing. How different would 2009-2010 have been for the major banking institutions if the Securities and Exchange Commission hadn't been rendered helpless by the destruction of the paper trail proving dodgy mortgage practices and outright fraud (apparently)? Would Madoff have been brought to book before he did so much damage? Would the Max Imbecile have had to 'save the world' with money that existed only in the mind of God?

Given that most people associate 'back-up' with street brawls or a car reversing, not stored and copied data, it is easy to blindside the non-savvy (AKA those with a life, ie not me) that destroying a computer is the same as destroying the information.

PS You have all the skills of a good debator. Nothing like making someone defend their own position to clarify their own thinking.

To make a relatively tall building collapse into pretty much its own footprint is a fantastically complex and difficult feat. That three buildings should collapse so - by accident, within hours of each other, within a few hundred yards of each other, after being smashed into by aircraft - is an impossibly big ask. But WTC7 is the clincher.

call me ishmael said...

It is not just that they collapsed into their own footprints but that they did so at the speed of gravity- as though their buildingness had mysteriously evaporated and all the separate components were instantaneously and uniformly in freefall. I hesitate to say - being of mr ptb's persuasion regarding the testing of argument - but it seems that to deny mr mongoose's dictum, above, is to piss in the face of reason.

I will not, mr dtp, squander a moment of my miserable, worthless existence on viewing a Kylie Minogue video, not even for you. I can ban you, you know, for coming round here, singing up at people like that.

Fair enough, it was meant to be ironic and that's the story i'm sticking to.

(hangs head in shame...)

They were complicated structures, Mr Ishmael, and so it is really quite complicated engineering to understand it all. (And I don't.) The crux of it is that the centre of the towers was the structure - great steel columns from which was hung the weight of the floors. The argument we are meant to believe is that these columns were undermined by heat, became softer and weaker, collapsed and the that gravity did the rest - uniformly and almost perfectly. This is nigh impossible. One of the planes, the second, I think, even struck at quite an angle and cut a very imperfect slot into the side of the building. But the weakness occurred, if it did, high up in the sky and the columns lower would still be intact making a tidy collapse impossible.

I know that you do not do links but this is a reasonable shorthand...

Here.

It is very good, thanks, mr mongoose, everyone should watch it, everyone in the world.

The Europa Hotel, Belfast, was bombed 33 times. It's still there. Yet the WTC7 collapses into a pile of dust because of "office fires?" Hmmm. Also, what about this?
