EGYPT. SKANKY SARAH GIVES IT TO YOU STRAIGHT.

EGYPT. THAT'S IN FRANCE, RIGHT?

“And nobody yet has, nobody yet has explained to the American public what they know, and surely they know more than the rest of us know who it is who will be taking the place of Mubarak and no, not, not real enthused about what it is that that’s being done on a national level and from DC in regards to understanding all the situation there in Egypt. And, in these areas that are so volatile right now, because obviously it’s not just Egypt but the other countries too where we are seeing uprisings, we know that now more than ever, we need strength and sound mind there in the White House. We need to know what it is that America stands for so we know who it is that America will stand with. And, we do not have all that information yet.”

"Is it going to be the Muslim Brotherhood," Palin asked. "We should not stand for that, or with that, or by that. Any radical Islamists. No, that is not who we should be supporting and standing by ... we need to find out who was behind all of the turmoil and the revolt and the protests so that good decisions can be made in terms of who we will stand by and support."

Gobshite, rabble rousing, God pestering and as dim as a glow worm`s bum, seen through the wrong end of a telescope ten billion miles beyond Neptune. So she`s a two term President, then.

Christ, Mr yardarm, don't say that. Stranger things have happened however. I also see the rewriting of history in Ronnie Reagan's favour as being to her benefit. As ever, follow the money. Who will best facilitate the opening up of the Alaskan wilderness to oil exploration?

So err... this isn't a piss take? Hmm...well, I guess it'd be difficult for her to lie to people a la Clegg but err...yup.

If I were to ask you, Mr DtP, to name three Republicans in the running for the Presidential nomination next time, which name would you say first? And would you be able to say a second? It's a freaky world we live in.

Si monumentum requiris, Caribou Spice

On a vile whim, I googled "Sarah Palin" + MILF and there are over half a million hits. I declined to delve further. Now I have about five words of Welsh, mainly from road-signs, and one of these is "newydd" (pron. something like ne'er-with, as far as I can tell). New she won't be, if she gets to be prez - same old ghastly same-old, maybe worse - and N.E.W.Y.D.D. is also a handy acronym of "not even with your dog's dick." Nuff said.

@Mongoose - nope, frankly. A couple of things bear consideration though; Ch4 axing the Daily Show which I used to mainly enjoy and 2) i'm not so sure I could do that with any foreign country even Jockland & Wales - could probably scrap through NI but Eire - no chance and I do sort of view politics as a bit of a hobby.

I've always found it a little peculiar that there is such a focus on Yankee politics when we couldn't really give a shit about France or Germany but the cold war and stuff does give it logic. And also their elections are mental in comparison to everywhere else where their's go on for ages and other countries just seem to announce , 'err, we've had an election and this cocksucker won'.

The US star is certainly waining though so if Palin does get the gig she's mainly gonna be fucking about in Ruin's bunker.

There's a saying yer in the SW, "Now this is wad 'appens when cousins marry".

It's all I can think of to explain matters. Sorry.

We have our share of people who are not merely non-intellectuals, but are actually proud of their ignorance. We tend not to elect them, though: they flourish mostly in the MSM. It's a different story in the US. There is still a widespread belief that intellectuals are Communists and, worse, they hate sport(s) and other healthy outdoor activities, like shooting holes in various species of ruminants: thus, they are not to be trusted with the welfare of the Nation. Now, backpropagate the logic. Stupid is trustworthy. Stupid is well-meaning, wholesome, honest. Stupid is a virtue. And that's why it isn't stupid to vote for someone who is.

You are right there, Mr DtP. We do concentrate on the yankees for some reason. The bookies have the following for the Rep nomination:

Sarah Palin 3/1,
Mitt Romney 4/1,
Bobby Jindal 5/1
and Mike Huckabee 5/1 (10/1 bar).

I have heard of Palin and know that she is a loon; I heve heard the names Huckabee and (only just) Romney but know nothing about either. Jindal is a mystery. I would have struggled to actually find either of those guys unprompted. So we have a failing Obama and his trillion dollar cuts and Sarah Palin is only 3/1 to be the nominee to stand against him. Jesus, that is Iranian Armageddon a couple of years out and only 3/1.

Mr Mongoose: It was Ronnie`s and Dubya`s examples I was thinking of.

Mr Caratacus: Yes, she seemed familiar but to our credit I think she`d scrape it to the district council

Jindal is the really surprising one on the bookie's list - the Indian-American governor of Louisiana. I looked up his given name (as opposed to cutesy Bobby) Piyush Amrit Jindal. Now I need to know more about his version of being a politician. Is there hope?

It could of course yet be a catfight, between Hillary Trousers and Skanky Sarah, Obama might take or be forced to take the money and run, he's the sort of man who could do the Big Vision thing just as comfortably from the boardroom as from the WarHouse, I mean WhiteHouse. Could even join tony and Imelda on the Peace and Money circuit. And it would save them having to shoot him in the head, do all that autopsy-rigging shit, enquiries and comissions and folks disappearing, getting shot, having accidents and falling off buildings.

Trillion dollar cuts, while the Pantagon just eats the nation, that ain't gonna play too well with the Yes We Can crowd, anyway.

It is an interesting point, the concentration on the US. Maybe if we spoke more Eurotongues things would be different. But, y'know, man, rock and roll; the Frogs don't do that. And as Mr Cameron says, we do owe the Yanks big-time for winning the Battle of Britain.

There is a whole cabal of trampy MediaMinster fuckpigs, Gordon Brown, Charles Dipso Kennedy, Douglas The Worm Alexander, Andy Neil, Jon Snow, Justin Webb, loads of them, who just wet themselves at the thought of sucking Congressional cock, down where the Kennedys once walked their larcenous and libidinous way. When they die and praise God may it be soon and painful, things might improve; we'll see Emily Stringbean in her mink miniskirt, clacking up and down the Champs Elysee, looking for trade, I mean news.

Dick the Prick said...

You are a cynical ol' bean Mr Ish. The Jon Snow thing was funny though with regards to the correspondents banter - sure, it was formulaic and perhaps a 1 trick pony but it still captured comedy. In Blighty what have we got? The fucking News Quiz or Mock the Week? Bremner was good but he's gone off the boil because, well, it required work, research & vigour.

Mark Thomas is quite good but sometimes goes off on one. I dunno - I just kinda respected the output, the tabloid, the frequency. Hacks can wander round spouting the same old shit day in, day out but comedy (and whilst one does acknowledge that Congress kept on giving) is a bit harder.

I just don't understand why we don't have a prog like that over here, designed for Blighty's more refined taste, cheap, popular and yet funny - like a sketch writer made TeeVee. I know you're not a fan of Simon Hoggart and his sketches have become a parody of themselves but he can still capture the funny. Hey ho.

Cynicism is a sneering disbelief in human goodness, I am not cynical, mr dtp, on the contrary, really, a defender, I hope, of human goodness, against the assaults of GlobaCorp and its agents.

Jon Stewart, Stewart, of the Daily Show, was a tosser. Uncle Sam has spawned some great, in fact, the greatest subversive comics but he isn't one of them. Can you imagine Bill Bicks or Lenny Bruce or Jackie Mason or Richard Prior or even Eddie Murphy or Chris Rock having all those fucking senators and presidential wannabees on his show and licking their arses?

We do have a programme that lifts the commode lid, it's the BBC Parliament channel.

Hicks, Bill Hicks. I should go to SpecSavers, instead of buying these perfectly servicable reading glasses from the pound shop. Nothing like a professional hustler, buggering about with your eyes.

Dick the Prick said...

Quite so, apols for the cynic tag, casual term misapplied.

Hmm..it's a bit of a toughie the trade off between popularity and accuracy. The Daily Show started as some 2 bit cable operation before being bought, like the Huff Post, by corporate America and the bullshit that goes as Ted Turner's empire. I guess the variance between Huff & Stewart is that Stewart was always entertainment first rather than some pseudo vanguard shit.

I dunno. I've tried to watch that 10 o'clock show on Ch4 and these guys who are meant to be 'edgy' or 'yoof oriented' or at least fucking educated just look like whiny little cunts. Is comedy that hard or is it that TV producers and lawyers get the shits? Probably a bit of both.

mongoose said...

It is rubbish, Mr DtP. I watched it yesterday by accident. Some cunt was taking the piss of the stuttering king film of recent note. Snuffling and burping like an eight-year-old while wearing a navy lark blazer is neither clever nor funny. I lasted all of thirty seconds and off the fuck with that twat.

It is rubbish. Over-exposed smug millionaires playing, now, at doing satire. After having done drab sitcom, quiz shows, stand-fucking-up - what other way is there to stand? - the Steven Fag gig and columns in the fucking Observer. Smarmy, shitty, slimy bastards. Worse than David fucking Frost. Sometimes, mr dtp, there just isn't what you want on the TeeVee and you have to write your own, start a blog. Even Family Guy, it's shit now, played-out, overdone; people just don't know when to stop. A man has to know his limitations.
