And so to are some of the people they frequently come across (though this does not excuse their behaviour).

We expect them, pay them, to be better, mr weary, than those they police, that's the point.

One has only to view one of the never ending series of live documentary "police/chase/drugs/crime" TV programmes to see just what sort of people we have in our police forces. It almost looks as though the poachers and the gamekeepers are out of the same mould.

@Weary - I love those police camera action thingies. I used to work with coppers and I think it's in some ways like anywhere - the good ones were really good but the shit ones were scary.

Never understood why guy took so long to go public with this "atrocity",it happened Thursday and the video came out Monday, did he take the video to be developed at Boots or did someone pursuade him to take it further.
I watched his interview and he hadn't bothered at that time,it is also said elsewhere that plod removed him from out of the way of flying stones and a police charge and he tried to hit a plod, whatever, I believe he was used by certain people for PR purposes and used his wheelchair and his handicap to do it,he also was on the roof of the NuCons office when they trashed that, the equality laws now makes him equal to everybody else, not a problem,if he goes to these demo's then he deserve's what he gets as most of these demo's are free flowing and he could get hurt from either side.
This time I believe plod.

I think someone else took the images didn't they, on a phone? And the cops didn't look very protective to me, mr albert. As to your other point, Old Bill, himself, is infamous for taking time to get his story right with his colleagues, you know, all make-up stuff together, swear that it's true, change the names, dates, everything.

I disagree, also, that he should expect to be as equally bashed up as fit people; as I said at the outset, we expect the police to be better behaved than the unGodly, not worse, there is simply no excuse for dragging this guy, prat or not, from his wheelchair, and as to him brieng a prat, well, hasn't he got cerebral palsy? He's never going to sound like the Voice of Reason.

I daresay that you are correct in that there are instances of propagandising from the protesters but I suggest that they are a tiny drop in a redneck, Murdochite ocean of filth, lies, misinfornation and distortion.

As per Coppers getting stories right, when the pissed up barrister got accidently repeatedly shot in his own house by 50 armed police knocking about; when thet were giving 'evidence' they were inserting song titles a la England's world cup team of 1990. Now that's just taking the fucking piss.

If I wanted to move someone in a wheelchair, I would use the wheels so handily provided. Hold his arms out of the way, what is he going to do about it? Or lift the whole thing up.

I might, however, do something unauthorized such as jamming the wheels to stop him going back in the road, although I'm not sure how I would do this. Perhaps cable-tying the rim of the wheel to the arm of the chair. There's a risk that the person can't then leave the area when you want them to.

Isn't kettling illegal, Mrs WOAR? "Am I being detained, Officer? If not I would like to be on my way, thank-you, and I am going that way."

Is this your wheelchair, Sir? Can you verify that? Only we've had reports of one being stolen and it matches this description. Valuable item, a wheelchair. Go for thousands I was told.

Legal Mr Mongoose, Sir? Do mind how my sides split if you make me laugh. It's like art, Sir, if a police officer is doing it in the course of their duty then ipso facto abracadabra, it is legal. Or it's art, I forget which. Not that it matters these days.

Silly me. Only asking.
