Handsome young warmonger pelted with eggs and shoes.
It was only a handful but better than none at all.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for we shall arrest them and beat them up.
This is a lunatic progression he is on, in search of Truth and bound for Glory, marching to the strident beat of his screeching, BadFairy ego; many, equally lunatic, dazzled, even in their dotage, by spun celebrity, will queue, starstruck, clutching his grubby, ridiculous book, desperate for Ruin's autograph, Shame on them.
PLEASE, ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF
I'M A MAN OF WEALTH AND TASTE...

It's all very well pushing your book, but I know exactly where the mans needs his book pushing.
Blair is merely a suit shaped hole in reality. Nothing there, no redeeming features merely an endless capacity to spout bullshit, the desire to arse kiss the glamorous, wealthy or powerful(eg; the City, Rupe, some idiot in the White House) and a burning lust for loot.
He and Imelda cannot jump off the Golden Ambulance now: there is always another dollar in the dirt to be grubbed up. The profits from this heap of self serving bollocks between hardback covers is going to the British Legion; obviously to curry favour with his Sky Pixie, to balance out his misdeeds. That should be an interesting meeting.
Right, mr rastus, up his ass or down his throat, either would do. I know what you mean, mr yardarm but he is all-too-real and it doesn't matter whether you come to a knowledge of him early or late, there is no succour in I=-Told-You-Sos i just despaired of the Labour Party after the Clause Four Reformation and the moment I heard the banal and meaningless Tough on Crime, Tough on the Causes of Crime, I knew it was all up, grammarless totalitarian-speak, all in MediaMinster now fluent.
What is very troubling is that, as far as popular opinion goes, he has gotten away with it and Brown is to blame, seemingly, for everything, Tony and Imelda a bumper-sized version of Cilla and Gerry McCann, smirking, blameless, greedy fuckpigs, everything someone else's fault; these - and there are so many - these are the spawn of Ruin; greedy, lazy, empty-headed and middling degenerate; talkin' 'bout my generation. Not voting for Blair was not enough, nowhere near enough; powerlessness is no excuse.
I regard Blair as much more culpable than Brown. Brown is dysfunctional and delusional, he genuinely believes he is right in his tormented, autistic brain haunted by the spectres of the manse. Blair, on the other hand, played a long game, cynically, strategically, all for his own 'place in history' (the money being only a vehicle towards his globe-striding legacy). And, all for ego, 'Stole many a man's soul and fate'.
Greetings, mr ptb, from my boisterous shore, where the gales beat all around my cabin door and I am busy dressing the young trees in their winter pyjamas - lengths of drainpipe and teepees of fleece. It is the constancy of the seasons, not so visible in the air-conned Metropolis, which consoles a little; like everything, that horrible bastard will die and the worms'll get him. That's right about Snotman, we have often pondered his fitness to plead, so to speak, Mr TDG describing him as patient rather than agent and therefore blameless, beyond chastisement and in reflective, conciliatory mood, one must agree with he and you as to Brown's culpability.
My own view, as you know, is that it is at least a quartet of felons to blame, some include Jack Torture among Ruin's conspirators. The thing which always bugs me, though, is that Tony and Imelda are stupid and crass, vulgar, as you say, adroit only at hammy platitudinising, estranged even from grammar, that Blair is simply too stupid to have wrought all this ill off his own bat, that he is dumb instrument, not wily, adept, long-gaming originator; that long before he was Bush's poodle, he was Murdoch's, as is the Coulson-afflicted Cameron. Whaddayathink?
All this trash from Thatcher onwards has stood before Rupe, like the recruits in Full Metal Jacket before their sergeant, shouting " Sir, yes sir ". And perhaps there was no over arching New Lab conspiracy: just a cabal of over promoted, self entitled, cowardly, incompetent backstabbers on the make and screw everyone else.
And Coulson is part of the deal? Rupert's choice, rather than CallHimDave's, a nobody, actually, from showbiz hack to putative editor of a muckrag to inside Downing Street, in two steps. Makes more sense than anything else, that we are governed by skymadeupnewsandfilth.
Maybe this odd alliance of Prescott and Paddick and others calling for a judicial review will rock the stinking boat a bit, although we should expect no help from Andy neil, neatly placed at the Beeb, who has millions in NewsCorp shares. Taking-on the filth of the Coalition AND the proper filth is asking, though, for trouble, just begging to be called the Enemy Within.
What we should do, of course, is take our austerity punishment and pay back all the taxes they are demanding - shame they can't just be shredded, as happens with prime ministers' expenses.
Perhaps 'strategic' was the wrong word to use to describe the machinations of Blair Enterprises Inc. or the Church of the Holy Tone. I can only see him as a wannabe Messiah with his sacred mission on earth, always working towards that goal, seizing every opportunity and happenstance to turn it his own advantage. Stupid, yes. A tool of others with their own wicked agendas, undoubtedly. A vulgar, grasping, bourgeois mentality coupled with a monumental egoism.
And yes, earth to earth, dust to dust, Blair and Cher will, sooner or later, be food for worms. In the grave all are equal.
I'm the one who suspects Straw is on the inside of whatever lunatic, satanist, anti-rationalist, clusterfuck-masquerading-as-government the Labour Idiocy had going on.
Yesterday's Private Eye shows the rest of the UK journalists just how fucking shit they are. That a low-circulation magazine can get chapter-and-verse on the Commonwealth Development Agency PLUS the insane crookery, slush-fund for buying off victims of management's sexual predators and general incompetence tolerated by the Maximum Imbecile at Railtrack. Just so he could hide another 22bn quid off balance sheet.
Ruin doesn't begin to describe it.
And now Brown, competing in his fucked-up head, to be a greater 'Statesman' than Blair. Even down to scoring more ovations when he addressed the joint houses of Congress in the US.
Oh, Tony only got 27 ovations. But I got 28. I beat him. I'm fucking great me.
'Dear America,
You're all fucking great [pause for ovation]. You're the best friend Britain has [pause for ovation].. and on..and on...'
Utter fucking insanity.
Yardarm said "And perhaps there was no over arching New Lab conspiracy: just a cabal of over promoted, self entitled, cowardly, incompetent backstabbers on the make and screw everyone else."
Like Yardarm,I prefer to think that there was just a coincidence of interests rather than an active conspiracy. They just couldn't believe how lucky they were and they were determined to hang on in there and drain what they could for as long as they could. And they had some clever bastard fixers.
Now, the coalition - well, there's a conspiracy for you. A real, proper one, making war on the people of Great Britain and, by constant repetition , making the population believe that this is the only possible medicine for the disease that they've made up.
We've had the best - the worst is still to come.
The coalition, yes, Mrs Agatha, although the beast of events is already shaking it in its jaws. No doubt Rupe and his avatars have copious files on the noncing and poncing, hands in tills and wicks in barrels committed by members of the government. Wisteria Dave has close connections with the Empire of Rupe, to me it seems he genuinly admires it, admires Rupe, his son, the Rebekahs, the Coulsons, feels they are his kind of people, his natural milieu.
We on the other hand are merely the economic cannon fodder, to be sent over the top to face a storm of austerity while the descendants of Blackadder`s General Melchett piss it up in their chateaux.
And the favours have surely been called in this week and Comrade Hague has been saved, it seems. And this despite my cavalier announcement of last week about his political demise. All in this together, except for the gilded political elite and their parasitical cronies in the Press.
So, does it just boil down to this? The politicians of whatever party political colour or none, do as they are told by international media moguls in order to not have their dirty little secrets aired in the newspapers and find themselves unelectable? It is as simple as that? And they all have the dirty little secrets because all power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely? Well, that's pretty damn depressing.
I think that it is because they no longer stand for anything, Agatha. They don't care. How many of them were part of the Young Somethings at Oxbridge and are now Old Somethings Else? Blair is the very essence of this ruin of politics. He truly doesn't give a shit about anything. He famously said that he could "fix the Tory party in a second". Why? Because he could be a Tory or a Luvvie or a Liberal or a Hannibal Fucking Lecter, if it suited his agenda. In the days of old, in the days of gold, Labour politicians came from the unions. "I am here because I care about the lives of working people and the social injustice which still blights those lives." OK, we understand that. Get thee over there and get to work. Tories came from the upper/middle and landed classes. "I am here because I care about the nation in its entirety and I am sure that protecting what is best about it and building upon that - even though it may take time - is in the long-term interests of everyone." OK, get you over there.
Politicians are now university creatures become old. Remember those mad buggers at college who cared about something? Ours were always out on Dartmoor stopping badgers being gassed and getting arrested. (Themselves, not the badgers. Arrested that is.) How we laughed - we never thought we could ever get old - but those are the ones I want to vote for now. Not the sorry sods at the Union debating some worthy claptrap about Mandela. All politicians are now just soulless fuckers, fit only for kindling or ploughing back in. And that is Hague - gay, straight, or turkey twizzler, we care not because he does not. A pox on them all. Burn it all down and start afresh.

Ah, in the days of old, in the days of gold, it's a fair analysis, mr mongoose, let's see what Ms agatha thinks, and let us, too, examine our own part in these forty-fifty years of delusion; they only did it with our help. I travel South tomorrow to bury a friend who believed in Labour because he was brought-up so to do, believing that the only alternative was Tory, and that was no alternative at all, held his nose and voted for Blair, the Devil he knew, and his, therefore, were the rewards of Obedience, the coppers they fling to those who manage the poor on behalf of the rich; he was one of those who would have stayed in the sea, while we fishmen spluttered and gasped on the shores of the future.
The comrades, all that I've had, there's none that's left to boast.....
Thanks, mr m, your post fell victim to the Raft syndrome and only made it to my email, I will paste it in when my mouse stops misbehaving. I will make the most of the journey, Great North Road, Northumberland and Yorkshire, the treasured nation, alive in the place names, if nowhere else, Berwick, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Durham, Redcar, Catterick,Richmond and York. And across Leicestershire to upstart Birmingham. It's a worthwhile funeral trip.
No problem, Mr I. To sing thee on thy way.
Hi, Mr. Mongoose,
I was at University in '68 - the year of student unrest, the sit-ins, the student politics - Jack Straw was President of the Student Union in Leeds, Judy McKnight was on the platform of the Great Hall in Birmingham, inciting the student body to claim their rights, Tarik Ali was my hero - hey, older and sadder now. All the ideals went sour.
Condolences, Mr. Ish, for the loss of your friend and chin up for the funeral. This, too, will pass.
Ah, the great rebel days of '68! What larks you had, Agatha. Jack Straw, eh? That he should have become what he is now. Did you see the wretch on PMQs yesterday? Filleted. Gutted and portioned by the Mighty Atom, Nicky Clegg. Ye Gods.
